Short Bio
I was born
in Florence, on January 10, 1974. I
have obtained my degree in Information Engineering from University
of Florence in 2000, with a thesis on the acquisition
of high-resolution images of paintings by image mosaicing. In
January 2000 I joined the Communication
and Image Laboratory (LCI)
of Florence University as a PhD student working on watermarking of 3D
objects. From May to December 2004 I was a visiting
student at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(EPFL) in
Lausanne where I developed new perceptual metrics for 3D watermarking
quality assessment. In 2005, I obtained a PhD in Information and
Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Florence.
Currently, I am researcher at Visual Computing Laboratory (ISTI-CNR, Pisa) where I am working on appearance acquisition and modeling, 2D/3D registration and image-based relighting technologies.
