I'm chair of the Italian Chapter of Eurographics .

Below other roles I've played along the years. Unfortunately the list incomplete..I'm not really keeping track of this, but here there are a few things I'm happy I contributed to happen:

The 13th Eurographics Workshop on Rendering

This was total madness! We had a record number in attendance (145) and, with really in few people, organized
(no room for humbleness here) a great workshop, with not only work but also fun: two social events (with dinner), one of which
was the Teapot Cup! The two teams, Europe (Blue) versus the Rest of the World (Red). I don't recall how the match ended......!

VRIPhyS: Virtual Reality Interaction and PHYsical Simulation

Back in 2004, dr. Cesar Mendoza was in our group as visiting researcher. At the time he was working
on deformable objects, as I did some years earlier, and he had the idea of starting a new workshop
on simulation and related topics. So we created VRIPhyS, first edition in Colima (MX) in 2004, with the impressive record
of having more papers than speakers and more speakers than audience! We hanged on and the next edition in Pisa had more
papers and more people and part of the proceedings were published by the journal Computer & Graphics....Then we started to find other chairs and
the workshop went ahead on its own feet .....so well that a couple of years ago I was able to remorseless decline the invitations to review...
